Breakfast-on-the-Go events usually feature a delectable pastry item and a jolt of java or a splash of juice delivered by smiling agents lining the sidewalks. These events are always a great way to show resident appreciation in a unique atmosphere.

What impressed us about the curbside breakfast at The Millington at Merrill Creek, a Holland Residential community in Everett, WA, was the way their event served a dual purpose. The Millington team used door hangers to advertise a special treat for residents when they traveled out of the community the next morning. The pre-advertising worked and residents eagerly rolled down their car windows to receive a brown bag filled with treats. Tucked inside each bag was the FILL YOUR POND WITH FRIENDS YOU KNOW postcard announcing a special deal for referrals. We’re sure there were lots of conversations that day around water coolers everywhere.
